We love this resort so much, we’ve stayed here on two occasions now. The luxurious and instantly recognisable 5-star resort, Atlantis The Palm Dubai sits at the end of the palm-shaped peninsula. This prime location on The Palm offers spectacular views of the Arabian Gulf, skyscrapers and bright lights of the emirate city.
Why do we love the Atlantis resort?
There are so many reasons. The Atlantis sits on a private sandy beach with the ocean both at the front and the rear of the hotel. It has spacious family rooms, all enjoying incredible views. Staying guests receive complimentary tickets to the Lost Chambers Aquarium and Aquaventure Waterpark (the largest in the Middle East, with over 100 slides and rides).
The hotel has two kids’ clubs catering to both little ones and teens. When it comes to dining, there are many mouthwatering restaurants on-site, including an underwater one, Ossiano. We can’t forget our favourite restaurant there, Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar. There are also family-themed eateries such as Wavehouse, which serves burgers and pizzas next to a games arcade, bowling alley and wave rider machine for budding surfers!
There are also plenty of activities for us adults to enjoy at The Atlantis, including indulging ourselves with ShuiQi Spa treatments while the kids are being entertained.

We’ve stayed at this hotel three times! The luxury Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach hotel is located on ‘The Walk’, a bustling promenade adjacent to ‘The Beach at JBR’ (Jumeirah Beach Residence). We love the location! This promenade is lined with shops, cafes, restaurants, a cinema and a fairground. From here, we’ve taken short taxi rides to explore the world’s tallest skyscraper Burj Khalifa, browse souks in old Dubai and see the sand dunes on a thrilling desert safari.
The French-style hotel is 5-star standard with an infinity pool overlooking the beach. It offers family rooms with cots, sofa beds or extra beds upon request and a kids menu in the restaurants. However, it’s fair to say it does cater more to families with either very young or much older children as there are limited kids activities within the hotel.
The Little Havana restaurant serves Latin-American cuisine with a global flair and offers live music. There are also two brasseries, one with live cooking stations and an outdoor terrace for sunset views. The great news is, that when you stay here you do have easy access to Dubai attractions including Dubai Marina and the new Bluewaters Island.
No kids club? Why’s it on the list?
This hotels makes our list for its super-high standards and its amazing location. Its close proximity to the beach, the fairground and so many family-friendly restaurants within walking distance cannot be beaten.

Lapita is a Polynesian-themed paradise tucked away in Dubai Parks and Resorts. In our opinion, it’s definitely one of the best family hotels in Dubai for kids because of its theme park location.
The 4-star hotel is a great base from which to explore the rides and attractions of LEGOLAND Waterpark, LEGOLAND Dubai, Bollywood Parks, Motiongate and Riverland Dubai. All of which are on the hotel’s doorstep and free to access for hotel guests!
At the hotel, families can enjoy splashing around in two lagoon-style swimming pools (one is for kids) and floating along a lazy river. There are kids and teen clubs with daily themed activities, so the adults have time to sip cocktails at the bar or enjoy a lavish spa treatment or two.
